Laser Acne Scar Removal (Los Angeles MedSpa)

Fractional laser skin treatment is a new technology that successfully corrects many
dermatological and cosmetic skin conditions.  The fractional laser delivers an array of
high-precision microbeams, creating deep, narrow columns of coagulation in the epidermis
and dermis. A restorative, natural healing process is then initiated, accelerating the
formation of healthy new tissue.

How do fractional laser skin treatments work?
Fractional laser skin treatments create areas of treated tissue surrounded by untreated, healthy tissue.
Some fractional skin treatments (e.g., Palomar’s Lux1540 and Lux2940) create narrow, deep
columns that extend through the epidermis into the dermis through an array of intense laser energy
microbeams. These columns can either be “non-ablative” (the laser beams coagulate the affected
tissue) or “ablative” (the laser beams vaporize the affected tissue). The body’s natural healing process
creates new, healthy tissue to replace the columns of affected tissue – improving the skin condition
being treated.

Great for regular scars (caused by surgery or trauma) too:

  1. Of all the diseases, laser technology emerges and is offering another way of treating these diseases or conditions. It somewhat effective but is costly, and would maybe have the side effects because of the light it uses.
Most claim that laser for acne scars is really effective especially to those who have severe acne scars and can't be medicated by acne scar removal products.
